Marsh  school uniform consists of:  (This will be compulsory in the 2024/2025 academic year.)

• Grey or Tartan skirt, pinafore dress or trousers.
• Yellow polo shirt with short sleeves.
• Green sweatshirt or cardigan.
• Grey tights or grey, black or white socks.
• Grey/Black socks for boys. 
• Black shoes.
• Green Gingham dress, or grey shorts may be worn in the summer term.
• Year 4 Swimming Kit – Towel, 1 piece swimming costume, swim shorts or trunks.
• P.E - Marsh Green hoodie, Marsh Green green t-shirt, black/green shorts with black pumps/trainers.
• Alternative P.E. Kit –

Plain black hoody, black joggers/leggings/shorts and plain white t-shirt.

The PE Kit was selected not only to aid the ‘length’ of PE sessions, but to diminish the wearing of expensive ‘branded’ items and make things easier for our families. Children should not wear hotpants/cycling shorts/crop tops.

All items, except the uniform with school logo, may be purchased from any shop or major supermarket.  Sweatshirts, hoodies, shorts and polo shirts can only be purchased from AC Sports in Pemberton or Slaters in Wigan.

We do not consider that jewellery is suitable school wear. Children may wear a small wristwatch; we have noticed a number of children wearing smart watches in school. Not only are these very expensive and we would not want them to get damaged, but they are also classed as a mobile device which are not allowed in our classrooms.

Children with pierced ears may wear studs, but all other jewellery is not allowed on safety grounds. If a child attends school with anything apart from a stud earring, then the child will be asked to remove them, if this isn’t possible, an adult will help to remove. We recommend that earrings be left at home on P.E days to prevent injury.
