Marsh Green children bring with them a unique blend of diverse experiences. Our curriculum is designed to provide a wide range of enhancement opportunities and experiences to ignite their curiosity and broaden their horizons. Our children will become effective communicators by being immersed in a language-rich environment.
Our curriculum is delivered using researched-backed approaches, to teaching and learning, to ensure that our children retain as much knowledge as possible to support them on their journey through school and prepare them for their next step.
Some key changes to our curriculum for the academic year 2023/24:
- We will study Spanish from Key Stage 2
- An exciting new computing curriculum which makes more links to real life
- Each classroom showcase our children's work across the year through a learning journey display
Staff use their work from Performance Development using ‘Inquiry Questions’ to help support the children’s learning in a range of curriculum areas.
At Marsh Green we value the teaching of phonics and we use Sounds-Write as our chosen phonics scheme to run throughout the whole school. Your child will have a reading book matched to their reading age and a phonics book matched to their stage of learning.
